Promises for Anxiety: Unlocked Devotional

I can feel it building inside of me like a heavy weight on my chest. It’s an unexplained hurricane surging into my mind, whirling around my thoughts so quickly that I can no longer make sense of them. I can only ride out the storm and hope that I find some way to cope with it better next time.

Maybe you know someone who struggles with anxiety. Maybe it’s a friend, a family member, a neighbour, a coworker, or a classmate. Maybe it’s yourself.

Anxiety can feel like an endless uncontrollable cycle; I know I feel helpless against it at times.

But there is hope even in these dark places. I am—you are—we are not alone on this journey! There is help. There are people who want to support you. There are resources available.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 peter 5:7 (NIV)

The Bible holds amazing promises for anxiety, so I wrote this devotional as a reminder to others (and to myself) of the hope we have even when the storms rage inside of us.
