Welcome back to the next song on the writing playlist! (These are not at all in any particular order, by the way. Just the order that they come to my mind.)
You might begin to notice a bit of a theme going on in my writing playlist, and for sure after a few more songs. I tend to love any song that talks about dreaming big and never giving up!
This one is no different. It’s one of those that just suddenly comes on the radio one day (it happened this past summer), and from then on you run from anywhere in the house when you hear the opening riff.
When in doubt, over whether to put in the lyric video or the music video, put in both! Why is it called a music video? Considering both have the music audio, maybe ‘ visual storytelling music video’ and ‘music video with lyrics’ would be clearer ways to put it. The lyrics alone would just be poetry! But – hmmm…
I am way overthinking this.
Anyways, writing can be frustrating and exhausing at times. You metaphorically fall again and again (rejection!), and trying again and again with the same results can bring you down (metaphorically).
Then a song like this comes along. And after that three minute and twenty-second dance party, you begin to feel a lot better and have been encouraged to press ‘submit’ again.
Believe me, it is a dance party. It’s pretty amazing in concert!
