“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
I recently had two more devotionals published in Unlocked that I’d love to share with you. The first is a look at the book of Proverbs and wisdom. The second is a story about a robin and rejoicing at all times.
Words to Live By
“Words to Live By” is about Proverbs, a book in the Bible that is full of wisdom. Wisdom isn’t about how much you know or how old you are; It’s about trusting in God and relying on Him for guidance.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
Proverbs 1:7
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Lessons From a Robin
All authors, in some way or another, draw inspiration from their own experiences as they write. True stories also can lead to powerful object lessons! I woke up at four in the morning to a thunderstorm one day, yet even in the storm and the darkness, I heard a robin singing. I immediately thought of verses like 1 Thessalonians 5:16 that remind us to “rejoice always,” even in the storms and darkness of life.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Philippians 4:4 (NIV)
